My name is Mugen Seki, and I’m a painter and yoga enthusiast who is passionate about bringing together art and exercise in ways that help people connect with their inner selves.

When I’m not painting, I’m practicing yoga. And when I’m not doing either of those things, I’m usually thinking about them.

As an artist, I have always been interested in how we see ourselves as human beings—what it means to be alive, what it means to be conscious, and how our bodies interact with the world around us. When I began practicing yoga regularly about ten years ago, it opened up a whole new world for me—one that allowed me to explore these questions from a different angle entirely.

Yoga has taught me how to become more aware of my body’s limitations and strengths; through this process of self-awareness, I have learned how to use my body in ways that are both beautiful and powerful. It also taught me how to free myself from any preconceived notions about what it means to be an artist or an athlete; now when I paint or practice yoga, I am able to do so without any expectations other than what my own experience tells me is right at that moment in time.

I have recently started writing for Soulnyoga.com on a regular basis. I hope that sharing my experiences as both an artist and a yogi, can inspire others to be their best selves!
